Corncerning the order. Smooth fast and clear.

Delivery was fast and with good documentation how to activate

Usage was bad. First problems to install mobile connect app to follow us. Several time with support to get it activated. You need 5 digit zip code but in Belgium you only have 4. Then it shows 5 Telephone numbers and all showing a bad amount in use. After 3 days it said I use 500000 gig data.

Also the connection is super slow. Even with LTE+ the max speed is 3mb on t mobile network.

When buying locally a network card from t mobile. The speed is 5times better and 30% cheaper

Kaart. werkt goed. USA–AT&T Unlimited is ideaal om bijv. op Google Maps te navigeren; maakt Tom Tom of andere navigatie overbodig.

Merkwaardige abonnementsvorm. De ontvangen SIM-kaart is van ROK-mobile, die op hun beurt weer een zakelijk abonnement blijken te hebben afgesloten met AT&T.

Hotspot (tethering) werk NIET, ondanks dat dit tot 15GB zou kunnen! Is – na telefoontjes met AT&T en ROK-mobile op geen enkele manier mogelijk.

Very good. Lack of coverage only in Appalachian hilly areas. Cities excellent.

A mixed experience. The initial set-up was relatively simple. Plug in the SIM and it seemed to go.

The “making calls with the Yourdialer app” less so. The registration with three.co.uk seemed to be something I shouldn’t have had to deal with. It seemed like a clunky add-on. I only realised then that it was a glorified VOIP app. VOIP relies on data. Data is not always available. There was no data available in Mostar in Bosnia Hercenigovnia (sp), hence you cant make calls with VOIP. (I had the All of Europe SIM card).

I spent a whole day in Rome with no coverage of any kind. Why? Because, although the SIM is supposed to auto-select the best local carrier, it didn’t. That evening when I emailed Prepaidzero (when I got wifi), they said I should do a search in my settings and select a carrier manually. This worked, and I did it from there on, every time I lost the ability to use data to surf the web or make a VOIP call. Its easy enough to do if you are technically minded, but the kind of thing that might freak out your average mom and pop. To their credit, any of the questions I asked the help desk were answered promptly.

Because I was buying my card from New Zealand, I paid a lot more for fast shipping. The card still took 2 weeks to arrive.

Erring on the side of caution I paid for 12 gig of data for 5 weeks travel in 3 countries and barely used 3 gig. I did a lot of social media, but used local wifi where it was possible. 12 gig is a lot!

For the money, I think I would be looking at something else next time. 93 euro = 160 NZ dollars. If I have data I could easily use a 3rd party VOIP app or one of the many apps like Skype, Viber or similar and save myself 20 euro for 60 minutes of talking.

The purchase process was easy and my questions pre-purchase were always answered promptly.

I used Prepaidzero EU zone1 sims on 2 different trips; the second time it took a long time to activate and it took 2 attempts to activate the correct package.
